Welcome to the Simmesport State Bank web site. The Simmesport State Bank was founded in 1956 by a group of area businessmen. The bank opened for business on May 1, 1956, in a new building constructed on Main Street in Simmesport. After numerous renovations and remodeling to the original building, in 1983 the bank constructed a new building on HWY 1 in Simmesport. A major renovation and an addtion almost doubling the original size was done in 1999.
The bank has grown considerably since it's inception. We specialize in personal service and a very personable knowledge of our customer base. Simmesport State Bank is a single office location with drive-in services, a night depository and an on-site 24hr ATM.

All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012.
